I joined my Hubby on a business trip to the Food and Wine Classic in Aspen over the weekend. Seriously, one of the most well put together events I've ever attended. First of all, the location doesn't get any better than Aspen... and then you add that with event, chef and wine talent and you have the ultimate dream event! I could go on and on about why the event was so special, and if you have the opportunity, I highly, highly encourage it! However, I'd like to keep this post relatable to all festival goers.
I think it's a good idea to give some thought about what you'll wear to a Festival. Here's what I look for: Pockets (need I say more?), loose fitting/comfortable, fashionable, and I often go for neutrals (It helps when I want to mix it up with a scarf, hat, cardigan, etc.).
I purchased this dress and this scarf for one of the days. I was so happy with the way it felt and how useful the big pockets were that I was tempted to call it a festival uniform and wear it an additional day.
I kept the scarf on during our afternoon hike that day.
And another day I wore the scarf tied around my bag for a pop of color.
A few more outfits I'm eyeing that I think would be perfect for a summertime festival:
A hat is always essential. We attended a party our first evening in Aspen at Kemo Sabe that included a custom hat fitting. I have an entirely new appreciation for hats after the personalized experience they give at Kemo Sabe. If you've ever wondered what shape/style/band/bend of hat would look best on you, all you need to do is step in one of their stores.
Hope you find a fun summer festival to attend!
