I started spring cleaning this week. I only completed my laundry/mud room. That one room caused me to decluttering other rooms and in the end, I had 4 large boxes for donation. I've always liked this idea of hanging hats in our mud room. I finally remembered to purchase command strips to complete this simple project. Now when I no longer want these hats hanging it won't leave a permanent effect on our walls.
I love adding green to our home. Spring feels like the right time to not only freshen things up with a new houseplant, but it helps remove toxins from the air in our home. My goal is for each room in our home to have a houseplant - I'm almost there.
Have you read my post about Social Media and children? I'm hearing talk of this subject increasing in the media and several new books on the topic. Sounds like a lot of scare tactics are being used and we must remember that technology does not control us and we hold the power of own choice and the choices affecting our children. I recently shared another way we handle/monitor technology use in our home through the circle technology. We don't use this as a "set it and forget it", but it's a powerful tool that helps us monitor and filter what reaches our children.
Summer is on my mind and I like to have a little summer bucket waiting for my kids on the last day of school with some practical gifts. I plan on adding these to make cool treats all summer long.
Their favorite summer shoe should complete their essential needs, as it's great for biking and water.
Now that I'm 40 I had my first mammogram. It felt good to check this off my to-do list. If you want a good laugh read this. I promise, at least for me, a mammogram was nothing more than having chit chat with a sweet technician who shared her story on becoming a Grandma before the age of 40.
